Spiritual Refreshment

We are now a month into 2014 — how are your New Year’s resolutions going? Remember that with God, all things are possible. Trust in God to help you develop healthier habits this year, and lean on Him when your own strength is failing!

Matthew 19:26 says, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Getting To Know You

Meet Dakota Lytle, a senior at Liberty University Online Academy.

His family lives in Fairview, N.C., right outside of Asheville. Lytle works in the family tool and die business, and he recently started an online marketing business using a social commerce-based system. The business is in the process of expanding.

Lytle is very interested in politics and has learned from men like Rick Green and John Maxwell about leadership and how Americans should work to preserve our Constitution.

He appreciates the flexibility that Liberty Online Academy offers him. Lytle’s busy schedule makes eight consecutive hours in school each day difficult, so he values the ability to do schoolwork anytime, from anywhere.  Online schooling has also given him the opportunity to travel and be involved in leadership training.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Spencer works as a multisport coach and personal trainer at Endorphin Fitness located in Richmond, Va., as well as a track & field coach at Veritas School. Spencer is an aspiring professional triathlete and is interested in fitness, coaching, and nutrition. Spencer also qualified and competed in the last two World Triathlon Championships in New Zealand (2012) and London (2013). He qualified again to compete in this year’s championships in Edmonton, Canada.

Spencer’s favorite verses from Scripture are 1 Corinthians 9:25-26, “All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step.”
