Yellow Ribbon Scholarship
Liberty University has partnered with the Veterans Affairs (VA) Administration to offer the Yellow Ribbon Program Scholarship to students with 100% eligibility under the Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Active Duty students do not qualify). Students with 100% eligibility, who have served at least 36 months on Active Duty (or whose sponsor served 36 months on Active Duty), will be eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship.
This program allows institutions of higher learning (degree granting institutions) in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. The institution can contribute up to 50% of those expenses and U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs will match the same amount as the institution. Please note, the Yellow Ribbon Program does not cover charges like Housing and Monthly Printing.
Most online students who are eligible for Yellow Ribbon will not likely need this additional scholarship coverage due to lower tuition costs.
Students who wish to participate in this program will need to follow the instructions provided on the Liberty University Post-9/11 GI Bill webpage. For more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
