Liberty University's online Minor in Special Education is an excellent addition to any degree. An online Minor in Special Education will prepare you to help children who have mental or physical disabilities. You will serve as a positive resource to students and those committed to helping them succeed. By pursuing our online Special Education minor, our professors will equip you with the skills needed to successfully manage a classroom, provide encouragement, and diffuse tense situations. In this rewarding minor, you can watch these children thrive as a direct result of knowledge you gain in our online classes.
Liberty University's Minor in Special Education is offered completely online just like our Bachelor’s degree in Special Education Interdisciplinary Studies, allowing you to remain active in your job, with your family, and in your community without the worry of having to take courses on a campus.
If you are interested in a more in-depth study of Special Education, our Bachelor’s degree in Special Education Interdisciplinary Studies is a great stepping stone to the Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education, which is designed for (or can lead to) teacher licensure. Both programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) through the Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation (CAEP).
Liberty University's Minor in Special Education online courses are designed to introduce you to key concepts in special education including learning problems, and intervention for intellectually and physically disabled students. The professors and faculty at Liberty are dedicated to training Champions for Christ through a Christian worldview. Our mission is that you will take that training and integrate it into your teaching as you prepare students to make this transition.
