Liberty University is keeping pace as a leader in online education. According to a recent article published by “The Journal,” an education publication focusing on technology, Liberty University is ranked among the top 10 Higher Education Online Institutions in the nation based on enrollment in 2009.
For the future of e-learning, “The Journal” predicts that due to the current U.S. economic conditions, continued growth in the field of online higher education can be expected and North America will continue to maintain the highest demand for online learning in the world.
The increase in demand for online learning comes as no surprise as the Bureau of Labor and Statistics reports that income increases based on education level and unemployment rates decrease with each level of education.
A non-profit program of Liberty University, LU Online is the largest Christian university in the world and currently serves more than 47,000 students and offers more than 40 degree programs and 90 specializations. With the convenience and flexibility of an online format, LU Online students can pursue a degree and further their career from wherever they chose to study.
