New scholarships announced for high achievers, VA residents
February 13, 2013 | Liberty University News ServiceLiberty University has increased its college scholarship offerings for both high academic achievers and Virginia residents by nearly $9 million. Beginning with the Fall 2013 semester, Liberty is offering new scholarships for select salutatorian and valedictorians. It is also increasing its Academic Achievement scholarships and scholarship amounts awarded to Virginia residents.
The Salutatorian Scholarship and the Valedictorian Scholarship will award full tuition to 100 students (50 valedictorians and 50 salutatorians) each academic year, totaling about $4.2 million in scholarships.
“Liberty University is committed to ensuring the best and brightest are rewarded for their academic achievements,” said Chris Johnson, senior vice president for enrollment management. “These new scholarships are designed to help future Champions for Christ start pursuing their dreams and impacting the world. As Liberty continues to grow, so does its academic prowess and reputation among other institutions.”
