Liberty University Intensives

Important Registration & Attendance Information

Registration and Cancellations

  • Students must register for their intensive by the A term for that semester or 30 days before the first day on campus, whichever comes first.
  • Occasionally, low enrollment may cause some intensives to be canceled.
  • The online Intensive Course Schedule will be updated weekly concerning course closings and or cancelations.
    • Please check this periodically before the start of your course to minimize potential problems.

  • Intensives now require intensive students attend the course prior to the residential dates of your intensive. This attendance can be achieved through completing your course requirements checklist (CRC) or submitting an assignment.
    • All assignments for the course must fall between the start and end dates as listed. If issues should arise regarding this, you will need to contact your professor directly.
    • Failure to complete the course requirements checklist will result in the student being dropped for non-attendance.
    • If any academic activity is completed by the student in Blackboard within the “PREPST” dates that are located in ASIST, the student will be officially marked as attending the course.
  • If the student no longer wishes to keep the course after he/she has attended, it will be processed as a withdrawal, even if it is before the residential portion of the course.
    • Please contact Academic Advising at (800) 424-9596 as soon as possible if you can no longer attend.
  • Attendance for the full five days is required for passing your course. This policy is non-negotiable because of the short amount of time we have together. So please make travel arrangements early enough to allow for flight delays.
    • We understand that issues can occur while taking your intensive. If this happens, please contact both your professor and Academic Advising.
  • Students, please take note that childcare will not be available during your intensive. Additionally, children and young adults under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend courses with their parents or wait unsupervised on university premises.

Pre-work and Post-work

  • Course access for intensives will be based upon the start date of the semester in which the intensive is being offered.
    • It is the student's responsibility to purchase textbooks, print out the pre-course assignments, and have them completed before the first day of the on-campus portion of the intensive.
    • After attending the on-campus portion of the intensive, students may have 30 days of post-work to complete online.

International Students

  • The Application for Form I-20 must be filled out and submitted to the Resident Graduate Admissions Office at least 8 weeks prior to the proposed travel to Liberty University’s campus. This form allows students to attend a visa interview.
