Undergraduate Certificate Program Admissions Requirements

  1. Apply online or call (800) 424-9595 to apply to an undergraduate certificate program with an admissions counselor.
    There is no upfront application fee, however, a deferred $50 application fee will be assessed during Financial Check-In. This fee is waived for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses – documentation verifying military status is required.
  2. Mail official college transcripts (sealed, unopened physical copies or sent directly to Liberty through an official electronic transcript system ) from all accredited colleges attended. We can assist you in requesting these items if you submit a transcript request formElectronic official transcripts can be emailed directly to luoverify@liberty.edu if your previous institution offers electronic official transcript processing.
  3. Official High School transcripts are required for undergraduate programs. Students may be able to enroll in up to 12 credit hours with unofficial high school transcripts and our high school self-certification form.

    • If official high school transcripts are not received within those 12 credit hours, a hold will be placed on the account and additional registration will not be permitted until transcripts are received. The official high school transcript can be waived with 12 or more college credits from an accredited school with an acceptable GPA.

If you are an International Applicant…

You may be required to have your international transcripts reviewed. Information regarding the transcript evaluation process for international students can be found by visiting NACES.

Applicants whose native language is other than English must submit official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or an approved alternative assessment. For information on alternative assessments or TOEFL waivers, please call Admissions or view the official International Admissions policy.

Official College Transcript Policy

An acceptable official college transcript is one that has been issued directly from the institution and is in a sealed envelope. If you have one in your possession, it must still be in its original sealed envelope. If your previous institution offers electronic official transcript processing, they can send the document directly to luoverify@liberty.edu.
