Failure to comply with the Parking Rules and Regulations will result in the vehicle being towed at the registered owner’s expense.
All vehicles are required to park in a parking space that is NOT specially marked or reserved. Vehicles must be parked between two lines or space markers on a paved parking lot. While on campus, Vehicles must be parked in the areas designated by their decal type during Operating Hours (from 12 Midnight – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday). You may have to walk a distance OR ride the shuttle (the shuttle is only available during the Fall and Spring semesters) – so plan extra time. For shuttle information please go to the transit website.
Signed spaces and lots (including areas marked for visitors), are reserved for those specific individuals or departments.
Spaces marked with a GREEN diamond are reserved for individuals with a SILVER, Executive or GREEN, Official Decal (prefix “O”) from 12:00 midnight – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday.

The PTR3 lot is reserved for ELC (Early Learning Center) parents (pickup and drop-off) from 6:30 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, year-round.
The campus-wide speed limit is 15 MPH unless otherwise posted.
Intensive Parking Summary
Please take a moment to look at the LUPD website for more information regarding parking regulations.
You will receive a parking hangtag in the mail dated for the duration of your class. If you plan to park on campus, you will need to
- Fill out the appropriate information on the hangtag.
- Turn in the bottom portion of the hangtag at the Welcome Luncheon or drop it off at LUPD.
- Place the top portion of the hangtag on the front dash of your vehicle or on the rearview mirror.
If you will not have a vehicle you can simply return the unused hangtag at the Welcome Luncheon or drop it off at LUPD.
You may also receive a summary of the Parking Rules and Regulations and a Campus Map. Please note that your car will not be registered with LUPD until you’ve returned the bottom portion of the hangtag at the Welcome Luncheon.
These rules and regulations are subject to change at any time. Any changes to parking will be posted under the LU Official Announcements section of the Liberty Login Page.
