Charles "Chuck" Clark!
"I served 15 years in the Marines with 5 tours of duty between Iraq and Afghanistan. I was injured in 2008 and received a medical discharge. I have had multiple surgeries which included 3 back surgeries. I found out about the Ch 31 Program through the VA. I was dealing with so much pain and depression. The VA just fed me pain killers like they were candy. I started utilizing the Veterans Choice Program that allows veterans to see civilian doctors in the town. After a couple of surgeries we opted for a spinal cord stimulator implant. It has changed my life and I feel so much better. I volunteer also locally for Green Care for Troops which provides free lawn care for disabled and deployed veterans. I would not have been able to make it without the support from my wife and children who helped me."
Chuck was nominated by his local community to receive the Congressional Veterans Commendation from Congressman Bill Flores (TX). Read this local news article covering the award.
