Dantes Subject Standardized Test (DSST)
The DSST exam is the preferred assessment method for HR professionals who do not have the approved certification or training. Liberty University awards credit for the Human Resource Management exam. Please review the Liberty minimum required score. We also recommend the fact sheet which explains the content of the exam and provides sample test questions. DSST exams are offered nationally through DSST approved testing centers.
The DSST exam is the preferred assessment method for HR professionals who do not have certification. Portfolio assessment may be recommended for other business subjects such as Business Communication and Business Management. Portfolios must demonstrate college-level competencies. Portfolios must also include documentation that supports college level competencies.
Prior Learning Assessment is only applicable to undergraduate degree programs. Before applying for PLA, please be aware that it is viewed only as transfer credit and will not be accepted as credit taken through Liberty University. It is not applicable to graduate degree programs. Due to individual programmatic policies and requirements, this Guide makes no guarantees as to the credit determinations for training, licenses, certificates, or diploma coursework listed herein. The final determination of which, if any, Prior Learning Assessment credits that are applied depends on academic policies of Liberty University. Any discussions with admissions consultants, new enrollment specialists, advisers, portfolio coordinators or other members of staff or faculty concerning possible application of such credits are only estimates and not binding on the institution. The awarding of credits and the determination of applicability of those credits to degree completion requirements can only be made after official review by a Prior Learning Assessor.
