Liberty University has pre-approved the following credentials:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Christian Child Development Education (CCDE), CDEA
  • The Preschool Associate Credential (PAC), ACSI

12 credits are awarded for these credentials as follows:

  • EDUC 298
  • EDUC 210
  • HLTH 205

Liberty University awards credit for the following providers who have received college credit recommendations from the American Council on Education

  • American Montessori Society 
  • National Child Care Association - National Administrator Credential


Liberty University will provide portfolio assessment based on competencies for Early Childhood Education, EDUC 210 (3 credits) and the Teaching Practicum, EDUC 298. Daycare Administrators may submit a portfolio for Daycare Administration, FACS 365. Please review the portfolio guidelines for additional information.


Prior Learning Assessment is only applicable to undergraduate degree programs. Before applying for PLA, please be aware that it is viewed only as transfer credit and will not be accepted as credit taken through Liberty University.
