Liberty University Online Students:
The LU Online Liberty OneCard is issued with an LU logo instead of a picture.
The LU Online Liberty OneCard is automatically ordered after financial check-in and class registration has been completed.

Liberty OneCard Photo Requirements
- You must activate your Liberty University email address, if not already done. Go to www.liberty.edu, click Student Login, in the LU LOGIN box click on Why Login? and follow the instructions.

Photo requirements:
- Please use a PLAIN light color/BLANK BACKGROUND
- Photo must be a color photograph
- Photo must not exceed 400 kilobytes
- Photo must be a JPG Image file
- Photo should not include sunglasses or hats

- Head should be positioned directly facing the camera, not leaning on anything
- Photo should capture from slightly above the top of hair to middle of chest
- Eyes should be open and looking at the camera
- Eyeglasses should be worn if normally used by the student

Please note: Actual passport photos are not required. Passport photos mailed to our office or photos sent via email will not be accepted.

Supporting Documentation - Verify your Identity
Before your Liberty OneCard can be ordered, you need to verify your identity. We accept the following supporting documentation.
Valid government issued photo IDs:
- U.S. Drivers license
- Passport
- Military ID
- State ID
We need either a digital picture or a scanned copy of your entire photo ID uploaded through ASIST with your photo submission. Your ID must be legible, less than 400 kilobytes, and a JPG image file.
Liberty OneCard Request Instructions
- Log into ASIST.
- Select Personal Information.
- Select Liberty OneCard at the bottom of the list.
- Select Browse to find your photo, select Upload, then select Next after your photo appears on the page.
- Select Browse to find your supporting documentation, select Upload, then select Next after your documentation appears on the page.
- Your Liberty OneCard will be mailed to the address in the Edit/View Address link on the submit for approval page. Update your address if it is incorrect.
- Once you have submitted your photo and supporting documentation, your status will show “Submitted for Approval.”
- The Liberty OneCard Office will notify you within three business days by email if your photo and documentation have been approved or denied.
- By uploading your photo now your information will be ready so that upon completion of financial check-in your Liberty OneCard will automatically be ordered.
STUDENTS WITH AN INTERNATIONAL ADDRESS
- The Liberty OneCard cannot be mailed internationally.
- Request your Liberty OneCard be delivered to:

- When you arrive on campus stop by our office located just inside the Campus North Student Entrance to pick up your Liberty OneCard, be sure to bring a government issued Photo ID with you.
Changing from a Liberty University Online Student to a Resident Student?
If you are currently a student with a LU Online Liberty OneCard and will begin taking classes on campus you must have your photo taken in the Liberty OneCard Office to be re-issued a resident student card.
