Biography
Dr. Heather Humphreys serves as an Associate Professor for the Liberty University School of Nursing (LUSON). She enjoys teaching full-time in the residential BSN program, where her primary focus is preparing final-semester seniors for transition to practice in the capstone course. Dr. Humphreys embraces a servant leadership style and employs engaging, innovative teaching strategies including simulation, role-play, case studies, and interprofessional activities. She is passionate about encouraging and empowering students to achieve their academic goals and career goals. Dr. Humphreys also teaches online LUSON courses in the RN-to-BSN, MSN, and DNP programs, serving as Subject Matter Expert for several courses. Previously, Dr. Humphreys worked in surgical services in a multi-system hospital in Virginia.
