Ben Stein muses on his spring visit to LU

Ben Stein delivers the 2009 Commencement address on May 9 at Liberty University.

Liberty University left a lasting impression on 2009 Commencement speaker Ben Stein.

Ben Stein poses for a picture with Jerry Falwell, Jr. and wife, Becki, prior to Commencement 2009.

The writer, actor, lawyer and economist who lives in Beverly Hills continued to talk and write positively about the university long after he left. While here, he was charmed by Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. and his family, and said that speaking before the receptive crowd of 23,000 — the largest group he has ever addressed in person — was one of the best experiences of his life.

To read more of his thoughts about his May visit to LU, read his latest article in “The American Spectator.” Stein writes “Ben Stein’s Diary” for every issue of the conservative publication.
