DeMoss donors honored with wall of names

July 16, 2009 : University Advancement staff

A wall of names was installed recently on the first floor of Liberty University's Arthur S. DeMoss Learning Center, near the entrance to Pierre A. Guillermin Library, to honor more than 5,000 donors who supported the expansion of DeMoss to the four-story building, completed in 2000.

A fountain was installed last summer in front of DeMoss -- Liberty's main academic building -- to honor the donors, with plans to add their names in the future.

Standing 19 feet tall and made of hand-carved marble from Italy, the fountain features three columns with water cascading from the tops of each. A cast-bronze eagle, Liberty's mascot, perches atop the tallest column.

Funds for the fountain were donated by Liberty's Board of Regents.
