Conference center will house students this fall

About 280 Liberty University students will pack their suitcases for a unique stay this fall.

With enrollment at an all-time high, housing on both Main and East campuses is full – so LU is placing students at the Lynchburg Inn and Conference Center.

Work crews are doing intensive renovations on the hotel, formerly a Ramada Inn, to get it ready for the August rush. They’ve been busy replacing carpets, painting, remodeling the lobby area, and setting up laundry services and other necessities.

Located just three miles from campus on Odd Fellows Road, the hotel that LU started leasing earlier this summer includes an outdoor pool, on-site food service, an exercise room, laundry facilities and free bus service to the LU campus and surrounding Lynchburg area.

In addition to providing housing for students, the hotel will also serve as a conference area for the university’s growing Distance Learning Program.
