Services open to employees, public during power outage

Liberty University is offering the following services for its employees and the public on Sunday, July 1, through Tuesday, July 3:

  • Reber-Thomas Dining Hall is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cost is $3 for adults and kids eat free.

Hours of operation:

Breakfast 7-9 a.m.

Lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Dinner 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m.

  • The laundry unit facilities on campus will also be open to the public from 6 a.m. to midnight.  Cash conversion machines are on-site and provide a laundry card.  Credit cards are not accepted.  The attached map shows the locations for laundry use.
  • LaHaye Ice Center     Monday: Public skating – 10-12 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. (facility open 8 a.m.-10:30 p.m.)Tuesday: Public skating – 10-12 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. (facility open 8 a.m.-7 p.m.)Wednesday: Public skating – 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (facility open 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.)

*NOTE TO LIBERTY EMPLOYEES:

Liberty University will open on time and resume normal business operation on Monday, July 2.

All Liberty University faculty/staff and their families are invited to beat the heat at the LaHaye Student Union due to widespread power outages in the surrounding communities. Air conditioning, wireless Internet, clean shower, the gym and restroom facilities are available for use through Tuesday.

In addition, the third floor of the football stadium is currently open to employees and immediate family until 9 p.m.
