Rooftop patio provides scenic view of campus

Photos by Joel Coleman

The work continues on a rooftop patio on the Arthur S. DeMoss Learning Center, Liberty University’s main academic building, this week. Construction began in August 2011 and is expected to be completed this summer.

The spacious veranda will provide a beautiful view from the heart of the academic campus. From this prime spot, students will be able to see the continuing campus transformation take place, including the new Jerry Falwell Library, currently under construction. The patio has been constructed 12 feet above the DeMoss roof level in order to give people a clear view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, similar to what is seen from the Hancock Welcome Center and the Williams Stadium football tower.
