Five of Liberty’s former football players will have the chance to showcase their talents at the professional level, with two signing free agent contracts and three others receiving mini camp invitations.
Wide receivers B.J. Hayes and Chris Summers have signed free agent contracts, while quarterback Mike Brown, tight end Dominique Jones and defensive back Brandon Robinson have been invited to NFL mini camps.
Hayes signed his free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Summers inked a deal with the Chicago Bears. Brown will display his abilities at the Jacksonville Jaguars mini camp, Jones with the Indianapolis Colts and Robinson with the New Orleans Saints.
Hayes and Summers give Liberty 28 former players to have signed free agent contracts with NFL programs and the first since Trey Jacobs inked a free agent deal with the Washington Redskins in 2010.
