Alumnus nominated for "America's Most Wanted" All-Star award for bravery in the line of duty
Liberty University alumnus and former Flames baseball player Charles “Scottie” Scott is a candidate for the America’s Most Wanted All-Star award, honoring first responders for their service in the line of duty.
Scott played for the Flames in 1999-2000 and went on to play four seasons of minor league baseball after graduation. He is currently a deputy sheriff at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office in Richmond, Texas. He has been named an America’s Most Wanted All-Star nominee for his role in apprehending suspects previously featured on the TV show for robbing more than 20 banks in Texas. While in pursuit of the suspects, Scott was shot three times.
