April 1, 2011 : Liberty University Alumni Relations Office

Liberty University alumnus and former Flames baseball player Charles “Scottie” Scott is a candidate for the America’s Most Wanted All-Star award, honoring first responders for their service in the line of duty.

Scott played for the Flames in 1999-2000 and went on to play four seasons of minor league baseball after graduation. He is currently a deputy sheriff at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office in Richmond, Texas. He has been named an America’s Most Wanted All-Star nominee for his role in apprehending suspects previously featured on the TV show for robbing more than 20 banks in Texas.
