Liberty names vice president of Marketing

Liberty University has named Ron Kennedy as its vice president of Marketing. Kennedy has worked at Liberty for the past 10 years, previously serving as director of Resident Enrollment, executive director for the school’s online and Graduate Studies division and most recently the executive director for Human Resources.

In his role with Liberty University Online, Kennedy was responsible for the administration and overall operation of the division in meeting aggressive enrollment and retention goals. In the two and a half years in this position, Liberty University Online more than doubled its enrollment from 11,000 students to more than 27,000 students.

He has also served as a Liberty University Online professor since 2006, teaching several business courses, including Marketing, Advertising and Promotion, Personal Finance and Strategic Management Decisions.

As vice president of Marketing, Kennedy will oversee the university’s Office of Promotional Publications, which produces brochures, emails, post cards, promotional items and more for the university. This department also oversees the university’s branding initiative.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity as God continues to pour out His blessings on the university,” Kennedy said. “I am happy to be a small part of what is going on here as Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. continues to set the vision for the future.”

Kennedy graduated from Liberty in 1996 with a bachelor’s in business finance and an MBA in 2006.
