‘Tis the season: Christmas activities abound on campus

The Jerry Falwell Library features two trees in the main atrium that have well-known book characters as ornaments.

Even though the annual tree lighting was canceled this year due to inclement weather, Liberty University students and the surrounding community still have many opportunities to celebrate the Christmas season on campus.

The campus is ready for the season, as guests can now view Christmas lights on trees lining University Boulevard and on the 40-foot Christmas tree in front of DeMoss Hall as well as listen to Christmas music playing on speakers throughout main campus. They can also visit the Jerry Falwell Library, which features three Christmas trees in the main atrium that are decorated with characters from Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol,” and a beautifully decorated Hancock Welcome Center.

Unless otherwise noted, the following events are open to the public.
