UPDATE: Alumna advances in ‘Jeopardy!’ champions tournament

Liberty University alumna Catherine Hardee won the “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 9, with $17,600 in winnings. Hardee will appear on the popular game show again for the Tournament of Champions semifinals, airing on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC. 


Alumna to return to ‘Jeopardy!’ for champions tournament

After earning nearly $100,000 in prizes last year, Liberty University alumna Catherine Hardee, former “Jeopardy!” champion, will return to the popular trivia show for the Tournament of Champions on Monday.

Hardee was an MVP member of Liberty’s Quiz Bowl team. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2012 and completed her Master of Arts in History in May 2014.

Hardee competed on the Tournament of Champions quarterfinals episode airing Monday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on NBC. Results are confidential until the broadcast.

Liberty is hosting a watch party in the theater of the Hancock Welcome Center.

Hardee won four-straight ‘Jeopardy!’ episodes last September. She was finally defeated in her fifth appearance on the TV show.
