Vice provost recognized among local leaders

Emily Heady, vice provost for undergraduate education at Liberty University, was named to Lynchburg Business Magazine’s first “Top 20 Under 40” listing of the area’s top young professionals.
Heady was chosen out of over 150 nominees based on how well she “exemplifies success,” working to promote and improve the Lynchburg area.
Heady’s accomplishments include becoming the first female vice provost at Liberty, as well as the founding dean of the College of General Studies and founding director of the campus writing program. She also led the effort to establish the College of Osteopathic Medicine by obtaining $20 million in grant funding.
