Open Casting Call to be held on campus Saturday

Liberty University’s Cinematic Arts, Zaki Gordon Center will host its third-annual Open Casting Call on Oct. 25, near the intersection of University Blvd. and Evans Blvd., across from the LaHaye Ice Center. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to anyone. The first 100 guests will receive a free gift.

Actors of all ages are welcome to read for a part in upcoming feature films and student thesis films, as well as various film projects taking place in Lynchburg.

This event provides opportunities to interact with the local film community and get a firsthand look at Liberty’s state-of-the-art film equipment.

“For our feature film this spring, we have a beautiful story and a terrific script about finding God’s direction for our lives,” said Scotty Curlee, an assistant professor in Liberty’s cinematic arts department. “In addition to bringing talent from Hollywood, this is going to be an amazing opportunity to identify the talent that is available in the area to bring this script to life.”
