Liberty University welcomed a delegation from China on Wednesday, including pastors at some of China’s largest churches, businessmen, and a representative from the country’s religious affairs department.
The group of 20 visitors, including four translators, attended Convocation in the morning, where they were recognized as special guests and the entire student body extended a welcome to them. They spent the rest of the day touring campus, including the new Center for Medical and Health Sciences (currently under construction and home to the new College of Osteopathic Medicine), as well as the new Jerry Falwell Library, Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, and the Hancock Welcome Center.
The group met with President Jerry Falwell, Jr., Provost Dr. Ronald Godwin, Vice Provost Dr. Ron Hawkins, and Johnnie Moore, senior vice president for communications.
