The Liberty Flames football team welcomed a special guest to its walk-through practice on Friday night at Williams Stadium. Westley Groseclose, a fourth-grader from Powhatan, Va., joined the Flames as they made final preparations for Saturday’s contest against Kentucky Wesleyan.
Groseclose suffers from Duchenne, a form of muscular dystrophy, which makes it very difficult for him to walk and will immobilize him in a few years. Coach to Cure MD, an organization which matches young boys who suffer from muscular dystrophy with college teams from across the nation, arranged Groseclose’s tour of the Flames’ facilities.
