The National Civil War Chaplains Museum at Liberty University was recently granted a new location on campus. Occupying the former East Side Market on East Campus, the museum will take its place next to Doc’s Diner, a restaurant that pays tribute to the school’s founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell.

The Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre opened Aug. 1 to Lynchburg area alumni and, after seeing the success of that event, Liberty staff are gearing up for the grand opening on Aug. 29. But they want everyone to come prepared.

Over 2,000 Central Virginia alumni returned to Liberty University’s campus on Aug. 1, taking part in the 245 Initiative hosted by the Alumni Relations Office. The free event allowed LU graduates and their families to check out the university’s state-of-the art facilities, including the LaHaye Student Union, the LaHaye Ice Center, the Thomas Indoor Soccer Center and the new Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre.
