Gift will help LU students attend medical school

An $800,000 bequest to Liberty University will make it possible for more LU students to afford to attend Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), a medical school in Blacksburg that specializes in medical missions. The announcement was made by LU chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. at Wednesday’s convocation. The money comes from the estate of Pauline T. Harbaugh.

LU national bar passage rate is 89 percent

Liberty University School of Law has announced that 89 percent of its law graduates who took state bar exams nationwide passed them. The 3-year-old LU law school graduated its first class in May.

Students create gigantic art

The Larger Than Life art show featuring a giant box of tissues, enormous tube of mascara, huge carton of milk and more whimsical pieces is currently being housed in the ILRC near Jazzman’s Café. Visual Communication Arts (VCAR) students working in groups used a wide array of materials to make massive versions of everyday objects.

Liberty honors soldiers, vets on Military Appreciation Day

Military uniforms could be seen across campus on Wednesday as Liberty students, faculty and guests who have served or are currently serving in the military dressed the part. The LU community got a chance to pay their respects at morning convocation as LU Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. recognized past and present military personnel and those with family members in the military.
