This semester’s late-night Coffeehouse at Liberty University, with the theme “Roadtrips,” was held Friday night in the Vines Center with close to 4,000 in attendance.
Held once a semester, Coffeehouse — which features student talent from music to drama to videos — is just one of the large campus events sponsored by Liberty’s Student Activities Office.
Out of more than 50 who tried out for the event, 15 different acts were chosen for Friday night, as well as three submitted videos. A video produced by Student Activities was also shown. A highlight of the night was Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr.’s and his wife Becki’s appearances in one of the skits.
At Monday morning’s convocation, Falwell recognized the Student Activities staff and director Chris Misiano, who work “behind the scenes … to put together all the trips and activities and the concerts that make life at Liberty fun for you guys.”
