Three-time Gold Medal winner visits Liberty

USA Softball three-time Olympian Gold Medalist Leah O’Brien-Amico shared her story with Liberty University students during Friday convocation at the university’s Vines Center.

O’Brien-Amico’s accomplishments include being a member of three Olympic Gold Medal Teams (1996, 2000, 2004), two World Championship Teams, two Pan American Games Championship Teams and three NCAA Championships while attending the University of Arizona.

She still holds the Women’s College World Series record for best batting average in one tournament, hitting .750(9-for-12) in 1994.

Throughout all of her success, O’Brien-Amico has made God her top priority, family the second and her athletic career third.

In 2006, Leah was one of 10 women named to the NCAA Division I Softball 25th Anniversary Team.
