Liberty to participate in Virginia Private College Week

For the third year in a row, Liberty University will be taking part in Virginia Private College Week, a program sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia.

From Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29, rising high school juniors and seniors, as well as prospective transfer students, are invited to visit the university. Application fees will be waived during this time.

Tours will be available Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend information sessions about the history, student life, and academic offerings of the university.

“So many times we’ll talk to families as they tour the university, and they are very surprised with what Liberty University has to offer both academically and through the facilities that we have,” said Ed Parker, assistant director of recruitment at the Visitors Center. “Whether people realize it or not, they’ve formed an opinion of what we are before they step on our campus — but when they actually have a chance to spend a couple hours with us, the vast majority are pleasantly surprised.”

Registration is not required, but those interested are asked to contact Liberty’s Visitor’s Center at (434) 582-2064 or visitorscenter@liberty.edu for the program schedule.
