Speakers announced for Global Focus Week Convocations

Next week, Liberty University will celebrate its semi-annual Global Focus Week during Convocation with special speakers Ravi Zacharias and Vance Pitman, who will encourage students to think globally.

Monday, Feb. 19:

Convocation will help kick off Global Focus Week, a weeklong event aimed at raising global awareness among students, faculty, and staff through special events and guest speakers. International students will present flags from around the globe during the Parade of Nations.

Wednesday, Feb. 21:

Ravi Zacharias is a Christian apologist and author. He has authored or edited more than 25 books in the fields of theology, apologetics, comparative religion, and philosophy. Zacharias has spent the past 45 years commending the Christian faith. He will be sharing with students how to address some of life’s great existential questions, such as origin, meaning, morality, and destiny.

Friday, Feb. 23:

Vance Pitman is the senior pastor of Hope Church in Las Vegas, Nev. As a seasoned church planter in the west, Pitman will speak from the passion of his apostolic heart to inspire people to join in God’s eternal, redemptive mission of making disciples and multiplying the church all over the country and around the world.

A 10-day Convocation schedule is announced each Monday.
