Pastors to lead panel discussing legacy of Dr. Adrian Rogers in Convocation

Liberty University’s Convocation will feature several influential evangelical leaders, along with a political commentator and special musical guest, in the upcoming weeks.

As previously announced, this Wednesday students will hear from author and motivational speaker Lisa Kratz Thomas. Kratz Thomas will share her powerful testimony of how she overcame a cocaine addiction, domestic violence, prostitution, and incarceration. Well-known evangelist Robert Madu will also speak and encourage students in their walk with Christ.

On Friday, Sept. 15, Pastors Ken Whitten, Robert Jeffress, Johnny Hunt, and Jonathan Falwell will participate in a panel discussion honoring the legacy of Dr. Adrian Rogers and Love Worth Finding, a ministry started in 1987 to lead people to Christ. Rogers was the pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn., from 1972 until 2005. He also served three terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Friday’s Convocation will also feature musical guest Steve Wiggins, the former lead singer of Christian rock band “Big Tent Revival.”

Next Monday, Sept. 18, students will hear from author, political commentator, and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza. His films, “2016: Obama’s America” and “America: Imagine A World Without Her,” are two of the highest-rated political documentaries of all time. D’Souza’s latest book, “The Big Lie,” was released in July.

Then, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, lead pastor of Zoe Church in Los Angeles, Calif., Chad Veach will be speaking to students. Veach, the author of “Do You See What I See,” has devoted his life to loving God, loving people, and building the local church.

An upcoming 10-day Convocation schedule is announced each Monday.
