Liberty Channel to broadcast football game at JMU

The Liberty Flames road football game on Sept. 25 will be broadcast live on WTLU, The Liberty Channel.

Liberty (2-1), ranked No. 21 and No. 22 in two national polls, will travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to face No. 3 ranked James Madison University (2-0) at 6 p.m. JMU is coming off its biggest win in program history, a stunning upset of Virginia Tech on Sept. 11.

Liberty sold out of its allotment of tickets for this game last week. More than 1,500 Flames fans are expected to be in attendance. Liberty Athletics is hosting a “Hike to Harrisonburg” event Saturday in which dozens of vehicles will travel from Lynchburg to Harrisonburg together and tailgate before the game.

This game gives Liberty seven football games on WTLU this season. The Flames Sports Network was already scheduled to televise Liberty’s first five home games and the Flames Big South road game at VMI on Oct. 16. The Sept. 18 loss at Robert Morris was also broadcast.

WTLU can be found on Comcast in Lynchburg on Channel 10, Shentel/Jet Broadband on Channel 13 and DTV on Channel 43. WTLU also streams live on www.libertychannel.com.
