The Office of Military Affairs is honored to welcome our new, transfer, and returning students to the 2014-15 school year! We have many exciting opportunities for you this year and hope you will stay connected with our military student community.

For those within driving distance, I would like to personally extend an invitation to join us for our Military Student Connection volleyball game on Aug. 30, at 5 p.m. at the LaHaye Multipurpose Center volleyball court. If you cannot be there, we welcome you to join our community online.

Remember that our Military Affairs counselors are available to help you as you begin the fall semester. You can contact us by calling (855) 355-4947, emailing LUmilitary@liberty.edu, or chatting us live.

Tools for Student Success

.

Make this a successful school year by utilizing resources such as our VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC) counselor, the Office of Disability Academic Support (ODAS), and the Career Center. These resources are available to assist you as you pursue your degree.

For more information and a list of available benefits, visit the Liberty University Online Student Support Web page.

New Guidelines for Federal Tuition Assistance

.

The Department of Defense recently released a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining new policies and regulations for institutions participating in the Federal Tuition Assistance (TA) program.

Undergraduate students are now required to earn a grade of “C” or higher, and graduate students are required to receive a grade of “B” or higher in order to retain their TA funding. Students who do not meet the grade requirements will be required to repay the TA funds they received for that course back to the military.

For more information, please contact our office.
