LaHaye Wellness Series


The LaHaye Student Union hosts several lectures each semester as part of the Wellness Series. Each presentation lasts between 45-60 minutes and covers a wide variety of health and fitness topics.

Katie attended Vanderbilt University and is a Certified Nurse-Midwife at CMG Women's Center.

"Women's Health"


  • Discuss the importance of annual well-woman visit and examination across the life-span
  • Provide attendees with topics to discuss with their women's health provider at these visits
  • Discuss basics of nutrition, mental health, relationship health, and the menstrual cycle
  • Discuss breast and pelvic health - including screening recommendations and prevention care
  • Discuss colon cancer screening recommendations
  • Discuss ways to keep bones healthy as well as screening recommendations for osteoporosis
