Bouldering

Bouldering is climbing on short, low routes, without the use of the safety rope that is typical of most other styles. Protection typically consists of a cushioned bouldering pad below the route and/or a spotter (a person who watches from below and tries to break hazardous falls for the climber.

Lead Climbing

Lead Climbing is climbing without the use of pre-set belays. One person (the leader) will start the climb carrying one end of the rope and will gradually attach it to additional anchors as he/she climbs, thereby establishing a belay system that progresses with the climb.

Train Hard Tuesday        

Circuit training that is designed and catered to improve rock climbing specific strength and movements. We set up a few circuits that incorporate full body exercise while having a main focus on climbing specific areas such as Grip strength and Shoulder stabilization.

Come join us for an hour of high intensity training that will get you fit and improve your climbing.

Bouldering Competition

Curious what it’s like to be in a rock climbing competition? Come and join us for a chance to have a great time with music, food, prizes, and fellowship with other students of all levels. There are beginner, intermediate and advanced categories. Awards are given for our top 3 male and/or female competitors in each category, top female over all, top dyno competitor, and crash pad stacking competition winner. You also have a chance to win great gear from our event sponsors, or one of $75 worth of raffles just for participating!

The competition takes place on October 14th. Rule will be announced promptly at 4:00 pm. Prizes and awards will be given out after the competition is finished and results are determined. Pre-registration is $5 and day of registration is $10.
