Patrick Slagle

Director of Financial Aid

Having worked with the Liberty University Financial Aid Office since 2008, Mr. Slagle brings his experience and expertise to the COM with a desire to serve students by helping them navigate the waters of financial aid in order to meet their long-term, professional, and financial goals.  Seeing the financial aid process as part of a student's overall education, Mr. Slagle is committed to open and professional financial aid education, as well as timely and accurate administration of student financial aid.

With roots in the West, including Colorado and Northern Nevada, Mr. Slagle came to Lynchburg in 2005, where he has enjoyed getting to know the rich culture and history of the East Coast.  He has since earned his B.S. in Religion: Biblical Studies, as well as a Masters in Religious Education, and recognizes his practical and spiritual responsibility to "work hard, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23).

When he's not hard at work, Patrick enjoys cultivating his sense of adventure by taking advantage of the many seasonal activities available to residents of Virginia, including hiking, volleyball, skiing, and other outdoor activities.  He also enjoys good food, music, reading, spending time with his church family, and the occasional TV series marathon on Netflix.
