Senior Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans
Kareen Ousley serves as the Senior Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. In this role, she supports the Associate Deans and LUCOM with scheduling, purchasing, and file management. She enjoys serving as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students.
Kareen moved to Lynchburg in March 2013 with her husband, Barry Ousley (Assistant Director of Admissions for LUCOM). They moved from Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. There, she served as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Information Systems. Prior to that, she assisted the Associate Dean of Health Affairs at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Kareen earned an AAS degree in Office Technology and an AAS in Information Technology. Intending to pursue a career in network administration, she qualified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. The Lord had other plans for her, but her training serves her well in her administrative ministry. She completed a B.A. in Religious Studies and plans to continue her education at Liberty: pursuing a Master's in Religious Education.
