Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans
Kareen Ousley serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Deans at the College of Osteopathic. In this role,
she assists the Associate Deans and LUCOM with such re-sponsibilities as scheduling, purchasing, and file manage-
ment. She enjoys serving as a liaison between faculty, staff, students, and outside contacts.
Kareen moved to Lynchburg in March 2013 with her husband, Barry Ousley (Admissions Coordinator for LUCOM). They moved from Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. There, she served as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Information Systems. Prior to that, she served at the Florida State University College of Medicine, as Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean of Health Affairs in the Department of Family Medicine and Rural Health.
Kareen earned an AAS degree in Office Technology and an AAS in Information Technology. Intending to pursue a career in network administration, she became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. The Lord had other plans for her, but she’s been able to use her training in her administrative work. She later completed a BA in Religious Studies and plans to continue her education at Liberty: pursuing a Master's in Public Health, specializing in nutrition.
