Sherri Martin received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from East Central University, Ada, OK, a Bachelor of Science degree and graduate work in Business and Accounting from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, OK.
Mrs. Martin has served as Vice President for Administration and Finance and Vice President for University Relations at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, as well as, the Director of Financial Management/Coordinator of Grants and Special Projects at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. While serving in these positions, she was the Student Advocate Association Advisor. Prior to entering the academic arena, she was a clinical practice manager. She also served as a Resource Coordinator for Sooner Start Early Intervention, an interagency program mandated by Federal Law to provide services to developmentally delayed infants and toddlers, age 0-2.
She has been a member of the Advocates for the American Osteopathic Association for more than thirty years, currently serving as Immediate Past President. She previously served as the Appointed Officer to the Board of Directors for two years, Chairperson, Special Projects for two years, Convention Chairperson, Student Advocates Association Advisor for two years, member of the Auxiliary for the American College Of Family Physicians serving as President, member of Advocates for the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, serving as President, Advocates for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Advocates for the Colorado Society of Osteopathic. She has served on various committees in all of these organizations.
Sherri is married to Ronnie B. Martin, DO, FACOFP-dist and they have three children. Their son, Shawn, is Vice President for the American Academy of Family Physicians and works in Washington, DC office and their two daughters, Natasha Bray and Amanda Martin, are osteopathic physicians. She is the proud grandmother of Elliott and Preston.
