Dr. Gish began his career in the medical field after graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in pharmacy. He then practiced pharmacy in virtually all settings of the healthcare field prior to matriculation into the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth: Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his training at UNTHSCFW: TCOM, Dr. Gish had the opportunity of studying in an undergraduate fellowship program in osteopathic manipulative medicine. He the graduated with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 1998 and proceeded on to a family medicine residency, graduating from residency in 2001. Dr. Gish currently holds specialty board certifications in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine.
After practicing for five years in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Gish joined the inaugural faculty for Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Initially hired as an assistant professor, he later served as Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Principles and Practices in excess of four years. During his service as department chair, Dr. Gish was selected to study and completed a Health Policy Fellowship which is co-sponsored by the American Osteopathic Association, Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology.
