The Research and Instruction department assists customers with their information needs, which includes helping customers to find the best information available as well as teaching them how to search, evaluate, and use sources in an ethical and legal manner.
The Research and Instruction librarians and Research Consultant staff, in accordance with a core competency of Liberty University, will teach library customers how to access, evaluate, and use resources in order to become information literate and independent researchers. They will not do the research for the customers.
