Break is the word that lights up the faces of college students around the world. It is the hope on the horizon amidst mounds of textbooks and notes. Here are a few tips to help you and your friends maximize your vacation together.
1. To each his own
Let each person pick one thing for the group to do. That way everyone is included and no one can complain if an activity doesn’t interest them. It also brings variety to a trip and you will find yourself trying things you never thought of doing.
2. Its’ all about the $$$
There is nothing worse than going on a vacation and worrying about money the whole time. Try to save up ahead of time. You can also spare a lot of expenses by getting groceries instead of always eating out. Plus, cooking together with friends is always an adventure.
3. R & R
Make sure you have some time to just socialize and hang out. A perfect activity is a lazy day at the beach. If you are always on the go, you will need a vacation from your vacation when you get back. You want to come back refreshed, not worn out.
4. Plan ahead
It is amazing how things like directions and time can put a damper on a perfectly fine day. Prevent this by making sure everyone is on the same page before going somewhere. Designate a competent navigator and someone to keep an eye on the time.
5. Zzzzzz
All the sunshine and freedom can make one hyper, even giddy with delight. However, you will be doing yourself and everyone else a favor if you go to bed at a reasonable hour. It will not be a fun vacation if everyone is cranky and tired the whole time. Of course, you can always sleep in but that would be wasting away precious hours of vacation daylight.
