Here at Liberty, there are so many opportunities for students to get a job right here on campus. Whether it's at Light Ministries, LaHaye Student Union, Student Activities, LU Dining, the computer lab, the bookstore, Tan State or even as a blogger. Those are just some of the great on-campus job opportunities here at LU.
Having a job during college can be a pain, especially if you have to drive (or get a ride) to work every day, but it can also be great! Having a few extra bucks to spend every few weeks definitely makes a difference. It's so easy for students to find jobs on campus and it makes it so much easier to have a job that way.
Not only is having a job a great way to make a little extra cash, it's a great way to meet new people and make new friends. "I just love that I can get to work so easily, plus I get to see friends and other students while I work. I make more friends here at work than almost anywhere else," said former LaHaye employee Janessa O'Connor. Most of the on-campus jobs here at LU require lots of contact with fellow students. It's a great way to meet people.
Having a job on-campus is also a great way to minister to your fellow Liberty students. Meghan Gillis, a Junior here at Liberty, works for Light Ministries. "Working at Light Ministries as a student worker, I have had the opportunity to meet students who are interested in going overseas or who have signed up for one of our campaigns. It is encouraging for me because I am constantly surrounded by other students who have the same passion and desire for reaching the nations," Meghan says.
There are so many opportunities for on-campus jobs here at LU. It just takes a little effort. For more information about on-campus employment check out: http://www.liberty.edu/administration/humanresources/index.cfm?PID=2803
