The Center for Multicultural Enrichment

March 21, 2008 : Jennifer Gelar

The Center for Multicultural Enrichment, known as the Center4ME, may be hard to find on campus, but you may miss out on a lot if you don’t know where it is. Located on main campus on the first floor of Dorm 20, the Center for Multicultural Enrichment is in charge of many of the most interesting programs in Liberty.

Do you have a heart for reaching the urban culture for Jesus? Incorporating the Gospel message through their dance routines, the Urban Ministry teams at Liberty reach the urban culture through Hip-Hop.

If you love learning about other cultures and enjoy planning exciting events, you would make a great Multicultural Director on your hall. As an MD, you are a leader, in charge of organizing activities that promote multicultural awareness on campus.

International students who enjoy teaching others about their cultures are often times involved in various clubs like the French Club, Spanish Club, Haitian Club, Korean Bible studies, Association of Students of African Descent, and many others. Plus, you are welcome to begin a club of your own!

The Center4ME exists to promote campus wide unity while celebrating cultural diversity. Headed by director Melanie Pearl, “Dean Pearl”, the staff at the Center4ME is made up of friendly, caring, down-to-earth people.

Many students complete their Christian Service hours through Center4ME by doing a wide array of exiting activities such as mentoring new students or helping out with special programs. Others come just to hang out, or to chat with the staff. The staff help make the Center4ME a welcoming place. Everyone there works together to help make Liberty the world’s most exciting university.
