After winning its 15th Big South Championship title in the last 17 seasons, the Liberty women's basketball team has moved up to a season-best No. 16 in this week's CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25.

Last week, top-seeded Liberty (27-6, 16-2 Big South) defeated No. 9 seed Gardner-Webb (78-61), No. 5 seed Campbell (70-56) and No. 7 seed Longwood (54-45) to earn a berth in its 15th NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship and extend its winning streak to 14 games.

Delaware again tops the poll, followed by Green Bay and Gonzaga. Liberty is the only Big South squad to appear in this week's Mid-Major Top 25.

The women's Mid-Major Top 25, now in its third year of existence, is comprised of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conferences.

Liberty will now await its NCAA seeding, competition venue and first-round opponent. Those details will be revealed during the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Selection Show, which will air on ESPN, Monday at 7 p.m.
