    • Instituted domain name-based monitoring of visits or usage statistics of online resources through GPO PURL Referral statistics program
    • Cataloged and integrated New Electronic Titles (NET) as well as managed the law library’s special collection
    • Collected and maintained statistical information to track productivity, usage of Federal Depository services, and for ABA accreditation purposes
    • Managed the reorganization of the Special Collection Unit and created, organized, and classified the microfiche collection based on the Library of Congress classification scheme
  • Served Fondren Library at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, first as Library Specialist III in the Center for Information Processing and then as Library Specialist IV in the Government Documents Department
  • Taught Oil and Gas Law and Corporate Taxation at Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria
  • Recipient of the SMU Colophon Library School Scholarship Award, the University of North Texas School of Library and Information Science Scholarship, and has been invited to join the Beta Phi Mu honor society

Biography

This master of research and reference comes to Liberty from Nigeria and the Lone Star State where he provided reference services and research assistance at Thurgood Marshall School of Law Library at Texas Southern University. He is proficient in Ex Libris Voyager, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Heinonline, and Innovative Interfaces Millennium.

Babatunde is passionate about academia and delivering legal research instruction. In the early to late 1990s he taught Oil and Gas Law and Corporate Taxation at Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria.
