Liberty University School of Law is located in Green Hall on the Liberty University campus. The School of Law occupies 120,618 square feet, which includes nearly 40,000 square feet occupied by the Ehrhorn Law Library. Within the library is a 40-seat computer lab, an online legal research instructional room with 16 computer stations, 5 group study rooms, a faculty reading room, 2 special collections rooms and a large reference-reading area that serves as the physical hub of the law library.
A large portion of the school’s square footage consists of 10 technologically equipped classrooms, 7 professional skills rooms, and several courtrooms, including the Liberty mock trial courtroom, the Justice mock trial courtroom, and the school’s crown jewel, the Supreme Courtroom, which boasts a replica of our nation’s Supreme Court nine-member bench.
While the majority of the School of Law is located on the same level, a study area known as Loft at the Commons is the only portion of the law school located on an upper level. Accessed through one of the two student cafes located within the law school, the loft provides living room style seating for a comfortable study experience set apart from an adjacent room consisting of rows of cubicles and lockers. Three additional rooms in the loft offer privacy for group or individual studying. Just outside the Commons area, a series of rooms and offices are made available for student use: SBA, Moot Court, and ADR offices, and a prayer room with soft lighting, contemporary design features and a serene atmosphere. Nearby are the offices, lobby and reception area, and interview rooms for the Center for Career and Professional Development.
The remaining area consists of office and training space where Liberty Counsel is housed which provides externship opportunities and the Constitutional Litigation Clinic; the administrative, faculty, and academic support suites; and the Mountain View Room which provides a beautiful venue for special law school events and receptions, offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains. The law school also has space in Washington, D.C., where the Liberty Center for Law and Policy is housed. This joint partnership between Liberty Counsel and the law school offers students externship opportunities to work in the nation's capital with the legislative and executive branches on law and policy.Liberty University School of Law is equipped for access by those in wheelchairs and the visually impaired. Wheelchair ramps allow easy access into the building while lowered badge readers provide easy entrance into restrooms and law school entry from the elevator. Room designations are in text and Braille.
