The following databases are available to law school faculty, students, and staff by subscription. Some databases are limited by contract for the sole use of the law school community, or are restricted to access from within the law school facility. Most databases, however, can be used anywhere at Liberty University. These “Liberty access only” databases can also be used off-campus by any current Liberty student, faculty, or staff member through EZ Proxy.

Offers downloadable audio files of court opinions, streaming trial videos, and litigation training videos. Register with law school email to obtain full access to all materials. Law school access only.

Bloomberg Law 

Comprehensive full text database system that integrates Bloomberg news, company, and financial data with primary and secondary legal research and business development tools. Provides access to dockets, case law, statutes, financial and corporate information and news. Law school access only; registration and password required.

BNA Resources

Full text access to selected BNA titles. Subscription includes ABA/BNA Lawyers’ Manual on Professional Responsibility, Antitrust & Trade Regulation Report, Criminal Law Reporter, Family Law Reporter, Labor and Employment Law Library, Securities Regulation & Law Reporter, and U.S. Law Week. Congressional Legislative History (United States Congress) Full text access to a wide range of indexes and documents relating to federal legislative history. Index to Legal Periodicals & Books Full Text and Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective (1918–1981)

ILP Full Text cites articles from legal periodicals and indexes law books. ILP Full Text also includes full text coverage for selected periodicals. ILP Retro cumulates citations from print editions of Index to Legal Periodicals published between 1918–1981. Both databases can be searched simultaneously.
Periodical coverage in both of these bibliographic databases includes law reviews, bar association journals, university publications, yearbooks, institutes, and government publications. All areas of jurisprudence are covered, including court decisions, legislation, and original scholarship. Law school access only.

JustCite JustCite is an international citator that indexes content from an increasing number of common law jurisdictions around the world, including the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. Liberty access only.


Justis International Law Justis is a full-text online legal library of UK, Irish and EU case law dating back to 1163 and legislation from 1235. The International Law Reports are devoted to the regular and systematic reporting in English of decisions of international courts and arbitrators as well as judgments of national courts. Law Memo This labor and employment publication includes three reporters: Employment Law Memo (ELM), the NLRB Law Memo, and the Arbitration Law Memo (ALM); access to the LawMemo, Inc. appellate database dating back to 1999; and access to LawMemo's custom alerts. Receive custom alerts based on jurisdiction(s) and/or topic(s). LawMemo provides labor and employment law-related (to include ERISA and employee benefits) cases from all state and federal courts, including the D.C. Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Law school access only; registration and password required.

LSN facilitates the distribution of current law scholarship and research to legal, economics, and business scholars. Journal abstracts of working papers and articles accepted for publication can be searched on the LSN website and are also distributed via personal email. Faculty may subscribe here. Providing broad coverage, the collection enables detailed research on centuries of major events of legal history, from public policy and taxation to contract law, sustainable development concerns, and issues of war and peace. Full-text collection of Anglo-American legal treatises from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The collection comprises over 21,000 monographs and materials regarding British Commonwealth and American law, with 14,900 titles from the 19th century and 7,100 titles from 1900-1926. The collection includes casebooks, local practice manuals, books on legal form, works for lay readers, pamphlets, letters, and speeches. The collection is of interest to scholars and patrons interested in domestic and international law, legal history, business and economics, politics and government, national defense, criminology, religion, education, labor and social welfare, and military justice. The Making of Modern Law—Trials, 1600-1926 This collection complements the Making of Modern Law treatise collection. Religion Case Reporter Provides a cumulative index to and digests of judicial opinions since 1998 addressing religious issues such as the free exercise of religion, state establishment of religion, clergy, and religious institutions. The main elements of this service are (1) Case Digests, (2) a Cumulative Index, and (3) a Cumulative Table of federal Constitutional and Statutory Provisions. Liberty access only.

Provides access to RIA's U.S. Tax Reporter Library, Public Domain Library, All State Tax Guide, and TAPS Series, providing planning guidance for tax professionals representing closely held businesses. Full-text collection containing nearly 11 million pages of over 350,000 records and briefs brought before the U.S. Supreme Court during the period 1832-1978.
